This annual event is kicked off with a parade through town.

Music, dancing, kids' games and rides, and a beauty pageant are part of the festivities to be enjoyed by young and old alike. Food vendors are set up to accommodate hungry appetites and browsers may enjoy the many items available provided by a variety of craftsmen.

The day is capped off with a spectacular fireworks display at the recreation center.

The City of Manchester has celebrated its heritage in the form of Old Timer's Day for more than four decades.

The event rekindles a sense of homecoming for the community and the citizens of Manchester look forward to the experience each year.

Much of the work done behind the scenes for Old Timer's Day comes from the City departments although many others have given of their time and efforts in making it a success. Every event produces a learning experience and we will learn with each coming Old Timer's Day.
