Hyper-Reach is a new Mass Notification System for residents of Coffee County. The Hyper-Reach system will afford our County Communications Center to alert Coffee County Residents within in seconds via cell phone text/voice message of an upcoming event (weather event, etc.) or an actual event (major fire, accident, flooding, power outage, Police event, etc.). All residents have to do to receive this “Free” text or voice message is click on this link to sign up for this very valuable notifications service. Residents with landline phones are automatically signed up by the Communications Center. For landline Weather Alerts, citizens must sign up thru the link provided or call 931-800-3020. This system is used to warn citizens about local emergencies, hazards and other threats that occur in Coffee County. The system sends thousands of these messages to geographically targeted households in seconds, and can simultaneously deliver them to an even broader audience via social media, as well as sending broadcast messages to most current mobile telephones (made since 2011) in an affected area by providing access to FEMA’s Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system. The county expects to have this service fully-operational by the end of February 2019.
